Devonta Freeman’s fantasy numbers have declined in each of his seasons since his sophomore year in 2015. That year he amassed over 1600 scrimmage and 14 total touchdowns culminating in 243.40 fantasy points, a league leading amount that year. That being said, Freeman’s career best 243.40 fantasy points would have only seen him finish as RB6 in 2018, so what is in store for the running back in 2019?

Despite being one of the oldest football teams in the league, the Arizona Cardinals are yet to win a SuperBowl. Despite spending their first round pick on Josh Rosen little over 12 months ago, Kliff Kingsbury has taken over the reigns in Arizona and invested their first overall pick in Kyler Murray, sending Rosen 2,500 miles east to Miami for just a second and a fifth round pick. Whilst Kingsbury, head coach of Texas Tech at the time, was interviewed ahead of their game against Oklahoma last year, he stated that if he could, he would take Murray with the first overall pick in the NFL draft. Fast forward a season and Kliff stuck to his word selected Kyler to lead his Cardinals in 2019 and beyond. Week 2 is all but in the bag, but what have we learnt? There've been busts, surprises, touchdowns, ejections and even a half time retirement and here are Tidy's (sometimes hot) takes for all 30 teams that have played so far. Fantasy is nearly back. If you haven't started drafting yet, you will be very soon. Whilst we spend so much time researching the guys we want to draft, it's also worth taking a look at the guys that we're perhaps best off avoiding at their current ADP. These players aren't necessarily busts, but the return on the capital that you invested in them may be a little too risky. Tidy NFL are SUPER excited to announce the launch of the Tidy Trivia League for the 2018 NFL season. Think you know everything that's worth knowing about the NFL? Well now it's time to put your knowledge to the test. A huge part of fantasy football are the sleepers. Players who you spot the upside that nobody else can that you can steal in drafts and, ultimately, win your fantasy leagues. Whilst I'm not condoning drafting an undrafted free agent in the first round, knowing your league and when certain players will be drafted is a skill that needs refining. Below, are my 10 biggest sleepers for the 2018 season. All ADPs are based on 10-team leagues on fantasyfootballcalculator.com and all stats are based on standard scoring. There's no doubting the mightiness of the Jacksonville Jaguars last year. They amassed 203 fantasy points which was more than Julio Jones, Keenan Allen, Rob Gronkowski, Leonard Fournette and more than any other fantasy defense since the Chiefs in 2013. With little changes to the D during the offseason, the unit looks poised to lead the league again.
Tight End is one of the most overrated and underrated positions in the world of fantasy football. Every year, analysts and experts will debate whether to take Gronk in the second round or simply stream TEs on a week-by-week basis. But, where’s the middle ground? Can we find consistent bargains in the mid-late rounds or will we have to continue paying a premium for the top guys?
Only the tight ends 1-3 scored as many points as their counterparts had done in 2015 and 2016. This would suggest that, like wide receivers, the position is on a downward trend. This does put more of a premium on the top few players so expect them to be going earlier than anticipated in your drafts. From a fantasy perspective, the wide receiver position has been on the decline for numerous seasons with the top 15 scorers scoring less points than they did the year before in both 2016 and 2017. On the other hand, although 2017 running backs scored slightly less points than 2016 running backs, both years greatly outscored the running backs of the 2015 season. With the running backs on the up and wide receivers trending down, it's more important than ever to nail your wide receiver picks. Here's my top 10 for the 2018 season. After a relatively quiet few games to start the year, 'thunder and lightning' duo, Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram, finished as running backs 4 and 6 respectively in standard scoring fantasy football leagues. This feat looks even better when you consider that the pair started the season by sharing the backfield with one of the greatest running backs of all time, Adrian Peterson. The pair finished the season with over 3000 all purpose yards, 25 total TDs and top 20 ADPs for the 2018 season. |
